Faux procureur démasqué : Des dizaines de vidéos femmes nues trouvées dans son téléphone après un viol choquant
Seneweb has learned more about the investigation into the arrest of a fake prosecutor by the Thiès Central Police Station's Urban Security Unit. According to our sources, the suspect raped a woman in front of her two-month-old baby. Investigators from the Urban Security Unit in Thiès discovered intimate videos of Senegalese girls on the suspect's phone. Here are the details of the investigation.
A woman loses consciousness at a hotel reception
It all began on May 1, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the Thiès Central Police Station's Urban Security Unit received a phone call from a manager at the Bidew Bi Hotel. A woman had just lost consciousness in the hotel lobby, and the fire department had been contacted to evacuate her. Police officers immediately went to the scene, but the woman had already been taken away by the time they arrived. Hotel staff informed them, however, that she claimed to have been kidnapped by a guest in room number 8, a man named Souleymane Sow, born in 1982 in Rufisque, who described himself as a businessman and resident of the Serigne Mansour neighborhood in Rufisque.
The victim has been identified at the hospital.
A trip to the hospital allowed investigators to identify the victim. She was K. Ba, a 20-year-old housewife residing in Yenne, where she had come with her two-month-old daughter, FD. Interviewed by police, she gave a chilling account of what she had just experienced.
A romantic relationship trapped on Facebook
K.Ba explains that she met the accused on Facebook in early April 2026, under the false name Chérif Ba. The two exchanged phone numbers and began a long-distance relationship. Under the influence of this relationship, the young woman sent him very intimate videos of her body, at his request. It wasn't until May 1, 2026, that the two decided to meet for the first time in Thiès, at the accused's suggestion. To facilitate the trip, Souleymane Sow sent her 2,000 FCFA via Wave to cover her transportation from Yenne to Thiès, along with her baby.
The hotel trap
Upon arriving in Thiès, K. Ba took a taxi and handed her phone to the driver so her lover could give her the address. It was only then that she realized she was being taken to a hotel. Souleymane Sow paid the fare and showed her to a room. After offering her food, he tried to have sex with her. The young woman categorically refused. Despite this explicit refusal, the accused proceeded and raped her in front of her two-month-old baby.
Taking advantage of a moment when Souleymane Sow went out onto the balcony, K.Ba seized the opportunity to discreetly call his sister, who lived in Thiès, informing her that she was being held against her will. The sister and her husband immediately went to the hotel reception. As soon as the room door was opened, the victim ran away with her baby and collapsed at reception, losing consciousness.
Intimate videos and a well-established modus operandi
When questioned, Souleymane Sow acknowledged the circumstances of their meeting but maintained that the sexual encounter was consensual. Investigators quickly dismantled this version of events. Analysis of his cell phone revealed that K.Ba had explicitly warned him during their conversations that she could not have sexual relations with him.
But that's not all. Investigators discovered intimate videos of several young Senegalese women on the device, making them potential victims of the accused. One of them, living in Thiès, was contacted and interviewed. She stated that she knew Souleymane Sow under the name Chérif Ba, this time presented as an administrative officer at the Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD). The two had been in a romantic relationship that had progressed to the stage of wedding preparations. On the day of the meeting with his family to finalize the arrangements, the man excused himself, claiming he had to go to the bank to settle the agreed-upon arrangements. He never returned. The other victims identified on the phone indicated they were unable to travel to Thiès within the allotted timeframe.
The fake prosecutor unmasked
During the investigation, another dramatic turn of events occurred. A man spontaneously went to the police station to report that he too had been a victim of Souleymane Sow's actions. Sow had gone to his bar, impersonating Prosecutor Abdou Aziz Sow, assigned to the Thiès court. After formally identifying him among the detainees in the cell, the complainant explained that the fake magistrate had consumed alcohol at his establishment before introducing himself as the prosecutor, claiming he would pay the entire bill. The total came to 44,400 FCFA. He never paid.
At the end of a prolonged custody period, Souleymane Sow, alias Chérif Ba, alias the prosecutor Abdou Aziz Sow, was brought before the prosecutor on May 6, 2026 to answer for all of his actions.
