France : Souleymane Diallo, un jeune Guinéen de 25 ans, mortellement poignardé à Valence
A tragedy occurred in the town of Valence, in southeastern France. Souleymane Diallo, a 25-year-old Guinean national, was fatally attacked on April 4th, SeneWeb Guinea has learned from multiple sources.
According to information gathered from a fellow countryman living in the same city, the victim was stabbed in the lung by an individual described as suffering from mental illness. This source also stated that the alleged assailant turned himself in to the police after the incident.
Having arrived in France in 2017 via migration, Souleymane Diallo was single and childless. He worked as a civil security agent in the municipality where he resided.
His tragic death has caused a great deal of emotion within the Guinean community established in France, where a mobilization is underway to support the family of the deceased.
For now, the body is in the morgue, while an investigation has been opened by the French authorities to shed full light on the circumstances of this fatal attack.
Meanwhile, Guinean nationals are mobilizing to collect funds for the repatriation of the body to Guinea, once the judicial and administrative procedures are finalized.
