GRAND YOFF : Coup de filet de la police, quatre malfaiteurs sous les verrous
The men of the Grand-Yoff district police station carried out a major operation on December 21, 2025. Four individuals were arrested for a series of offenses ranging from criminal association to robbery with violence, including receiving stolen goods.
The group is being prosecuted for serious offenses: robberies committed in a group with the use of motorcycles and neutralizing gas, complicity in theft and receiving stolen goods.
The first suspect was apprehended at the Patte d'Oie black market. He was in possession of an Apple MacBook that had been stolen earlier in the Mermoz district. The arrest was made possible thanks to the victim's geolocation of the device, after he immediately contacted the police.
Attacks at the Water Catchment Area and at Patte d'Oie
The manhunt continued in the Water Catchment Area where the second and third suspects were apprehended. The two individuals, traveling on a motorcycle, had just violently assaulted a woman, stealing her cell phone.
Finally, a fourth accomplice was apprehended at the Shell station in Patte d'Oie. He had just participated in the assault of Mr. Mbaye Seye, from whom he had snatched his bag.
The four suspects have been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing to identify any other potential victims of this organized gang.
