HLM Biscuiterie : Un menuisier aluminium arrêté pour trafic de chanvre indien à la veille d’un combat de lutte
As part of the efforts to secure people and property, and in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking, the members of the Research Brigade of the HLM Biscuiterie district police station arrested the young aluminium carpenter M. Samb, born in 2007, on Wednesday for offering and transferring Indian hemp.
This operation takes place within a specific context marked by intensified patrols, in preparation for the wrestling match scheduled for November 30, 2025, at the National Arena. This large-scale sporting event has prompted a reinforcement of security measures in sensitive areas of Bène Tally and its surroundings.
Around 3 p.m., during a patrol near the Nguélaw market, police officers noticed a group of young people behaving suspiciously. An ambush was then set up, leading to the arrest of Mr. Samb, who was already known to the police. A pat-down search was immediately conducted, revealing that he was carrying a quantity of cannabis carefully wrapped in paper.
The young suspect was taken to the station for questioning. While denying ownership of the prohibited substance found in his possession, he witnessed the official weighing of the cannabis. The total recorded weight was 90.3 grams, and the cannabis was then placed under temporary seal.
Having been informed of the facts, the prosecutor ordered the suspect's detention for offering and selling cannabis. An investigation has been opened to determine any potential ramifications of the network.
