Infanticide à Yeumbeul Sud : une élève et sa mère en garde à vue
On October 26, around 1 p.m., a macabre discovery was made in a house in the Afia 5 district of Yeumbeul Sud: the lifeless body of an immature male fetus.
At the scene, Libération details, which relayed the information in its Tuesday edition, investigators noted the presence of a blood-stained loincloth hanging on a clothesline. When questioned, student MD Sène (19 years old) admitted to being the owner of the garment.
After a gynecological examination revealed clinical features consistent with a recent delivery, she admitted to having recently given birth. She also indicated that she was assisted by her mother, K. Ndour, in burying the fetus.
As a result, both were taken into custody at the Yeumbeul South police station on suspicion of infanticide. The investigation is continuing, the same source reported.
