Inondations à Dakar : plusieurs quartiers touchés après de fortes pluies
Dakar was hit by intense rainfall this Friday, causing flooding in several neighborhoods. Submerged streets were reported in Ngor, Cambérène, Parcelles Assainies, Centre de Santé Philippe Senghor, Patte d'Oie, Thiaroye, and Diamaguène, disrupting traffic and the daily lives of residents. Many homes were flooded, leaving residents in limbo, although no major damage has been officially reported so far. This severe weather followed an alert from the National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) issued Thursday, warning of an active rain and storm system affecting Dakar, Saint-Louis, Thiès, Mbour, and the Sine-Saloum islands.
According to Anacim, the rains are expected to persist until Saturday, accompanied by southwest to northeast winds. Authorities are calling for caution and urging the population to follow weather updates to minimize risks.
