Jaxaay: Two assailants arrested after stealing a Jakarta motorcycle on the way back from a wrestling match

The Jaxaay district police station, under the command of Commissioner Cheikh Ndiaye, referred two young men to the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office for robbery committed as a group with violence, according to Seneweb sources. The incident occurred around 8 p.m.

A man named MM Diallo went to the police station to report that he had been the victim of an assault followed by the theft of his Jakarta motorcycle. According to his statement, he was attacked by a group of young men returning from a wrestling match in an alley near the 20th graduating class.

This is how the members of the investigation unit arrived at the scene with the victim, where they encountered one of the perpetrators, whom the complainant formally identified. He is Mr. Gning, 21 years old, a driver.

Taken to the station and briefly questioned, the suspect attempted to deny the facts but failed to convince the investigators.

Subsequently, Mr. Gning agreed to lead the police to the respective homes of his accomplices. The officers' mission resulted in the arrest of one of them with the stolen motorcycle. He was identified as Mr. Saleh, 22 years old, a refrigeration technician, residing in Kounoune.

When questioned briefly, he admitted to being part of the gang that attacked and stole Mr. Diallo's motorcycle.

The other members of the gang remain at large. Nevertheless, they are actively being sought for their arrest. The motorcycle has been impounded at the police station for the purposes of the investigation.

At the end of this, the two assailants were brought before the prosecutor's office in Pikine-Guédiawaye.
