Targeted by personal and political attacks, Bouba Ndour breaks his silence. On the set of Quartier Général, he delivered a direct response, combining a firm clarification, denunciation of the "defamation" and thinly veiled warnings to his detractors.
Referring to comments describing him as homosexual, the director of programs at Télé Futurs Médias (TFM) responded vehemently, considering that this type of attack amounted to defamation and a lack of respect.
Without explicitly naming names at first, Bouba Ndour also denounced the behavior of certain public figures, specifically calling on an "elderly person" to show more responsibility and restraint in their public statements. He expressed regret over what he considers attempts to damage his image and that of the Futurs Médias Group (GFM).
In a more personal statement, he defended his moral integrity, asserting that he leads an exemplary life and rejecting any form of disrespect directed at him. "I will not remain silent in the face of certain attacks," he insisted, emphasizing his determination to protect his reputation.
The program director also addressed MP Cheikh Bara Ndiaye directly, accusing him of regularly attacking TFM. He urged Pastef members to resolve their differences internally, while defending the media's right to comment on current political events.
“We are Senegalese citizens and we have done a great deal for the country,” he declared, calling on MP Cheikh Bara Ndiaye to show restraint and a sense of responsibility. He also warned against what he termed attempts to manipulate public opinion, asserting that these would no longer be tolerated.
Finally, Bouba Ndour reaffirmed his group's position in the face of criticism: TFM, he said, will no longer yield to attacks he considers unjustified. "We are not afraid," he concluded firmly.
