Journée des forces armées à Thiès : Une célébration sous le signe des JOJ Dakar-2025
On Monday, November 10, 2025, in Thiès, as throughout the country, Senegalese Armed Forces Day will be celebrated under the theme "The Armed Forces, Partners of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games." This theme highlights the role of the military in the success of the Games.
In Thiès, the festivities are planned for the Promenade des Thiessois (formerly Place de France), where a wreath-laying ceremony and a military parade will mark the official event. An exhibition will then be held on the square's esplanade, showcasing the missions, equipment, and civic actions of the Senegalese armed forces.
