Kaffrine: LONASE inaugurates its new regional agency and accelerates the modernization of its network

Kaffrine : La LONASE inaugure sa nouvelle agence régionale et accélère la modernisation de son réseau

LONASE has taken another step in its infrastructure modernization policy with the inauguration today in Kaffrine of its new regional agency. The ceremony was held in the presence of administrative and territorial authorities, institutional officials, as well as technical partners and stakeholders in the commercial network.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of LONASE, Toussaint Manga, expressed his satisfaction at carrying out this inauguration in the capital of Ndoucoumane: "It is with real pleasure that I find myself today in Kaffrine for the inauguration of the new premises which will now house the LONASE Regional Agency."

According to him, this project is part of a clear modernization strategy. "From the moment I took over as head of LONASE, I made infrastructure modernization one of my priorities," he stated, noting that in May 2024, the company still occupied 21 rented buildings. This extensive program aims to construct 22 new buildings by December 2027, thereby reducing rental costs by 95%.

Several buildings have already been delivered in Louga, Dara, Linguère, and Rosso, while eleven others are under construction in locations such as Kolda, Sédhiou, and Koungheul. The Director General also praised the quality of the partnership with Junior Trading SA, headed by Abdoulaye Kairé, for the construction of this modern facility, which meets safety and comfort standards.

The head of the Kaffrine branch, Ismaïla Ly, welcomed this new driver of economic growth for the region, while also calling for collective responsibility to preserve this essential tool. Beyond its commercial aspect, the project has had a direct social impact by employing numerous local tradespeople (masons, carpenters, painters), thus strengthening LONASE's role in regional development.

Moi ce qui le désole c'est leur kiosque qu'ils ont installé devant ma maison. Je subis beaucoup de désagréments : jour et nuit les gens se rassemblent devant chez moi.
