Kanel : Un accident de la route fait deux morts et quatorze blessés à hauteur de Fadiar
A serious traffic accident involving a public transport vehicle on Saturday on National Route 2, near the village of Fadiar in the Kanel department, claimed two lives and injured fourteen others. According to initial reports, the incident was caused by a tire blowout, which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle skidded and left the road, plunging down a slope where it rolled several times before coming to rest upside down, wheels in the air, a few meters from a high-voltage power pole and a thicket of trees.
The overall toll stands at 16 victims: two deaths, ten serious injuries and four minor injuries.
Among the passengers were women and children. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene to treat the injured and transfer them to the nearest medical facilities. Those with serious injuries were hospitalized in intensive care, while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the morgue in the Kanel health district.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of this tragic accident. Authorities, once again raising awareness about the issue, are emphasizing the need for rigorous vehicle maintenance and the importance of adhering to safety guidelines, particularly when using public transportation.
