Kaolack-Fatick : Les populations réclament le bitumage du tronçon Lamarame - Ndiendieng - Passy
The poor condition of the Lamarame-Ndiendieng-Passy section of road is at the heart of the grievances of the Natal sa Ngokh movement. This road, which connects the Kaolack and Fatick regions, has long been a source of complaint for local residents. The 9-kilometer stretch is in a state of disrepair, sparking outrage among the population who are demanding its urgent paving to open up 58 isolated villages and improve access to healthcare.
For Thierno Kébé, coordinator of the Natal sa Gokh movement and local leader of Diomaye Président in the Ndiendieng commune, the 58 villages suffer from all kinds of problems. The commune has only four health posts, far short of WHO standards, which recommend 5,000 to 10,000 inhabitants per health post so that at least the population can receive adequate healthcare. As for education, there are not enough middle and high schools.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Thierno Kébé seized the opportunity to declare his candidacy for mayor of Ndiendieng under the banner of the DiomayePrésident coalition.
Of note was the presence of a large delegation led by the coordinator of the presidential movement Aly Tounkara and Master El Hadj Malick Diouf among other authorities at the celebration of "Baby Achoura".
