The residents of Medina Baye Niasse, Thioffack, and Fass Cheikh Tidiane are furious with the authorities. They are struggling to carry out their daily lives due to stagnant sewage. The canals of the National Sanitation Office of Senegal (ONAS) are backing up onto the streets. Residents are complaining about this situation, believing the problem persists without a lasting solution from local authorities.

According to their spokesperson, Babacar Mbow, ONAS (National Sanitation Office) agents intervened yesterday, Wednesday, to carry out a water drainage operation. However, just a few hours after their departure, the water reappeared on the main road connecting Medina Baye, Face Cheikh Tidiane, Darou Rakhmati, and Mbadakhoune. "We have been dealing with this situation for two years. We demand a permanent solution to put an end to this wastewater," pleaded Mr. Mbow, who lamented the fact that the mayor has never come to inquire about the situation.

That is why these populations have launched an appeal to the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to the Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, to the Minister of Sanitation Cheikh Tidiane Dièye for definitive solutions to be found to relieve the populations.

Bonjour
