A 28-year-old motorcycle taxi driver was arrested in Nguékhokh after abusing seven children under the age of 13 in several families in Kaolack. He claimed to be possessed by a demonic spirit to justify his actions.
The chance discovery of a scandal
It all started with an ordinary gesture by a mother. While bathing her son, ND Seck noticed suspicious anal lesions on his body. When questioned, the boy eventually confessed: he had been raped by Mr. Diallo, a motorcycle taxi driver he knew. The family immediately went to the accused man's home. But he, apparently having been warned, fled before they arrived.
A methodical predator at the heart of families
The investigation reveals that Mr. Diallo did not act alone or spontaneously. He regularly visited the homes of the Touré, Diagne, and Mendy families. He took advantage of these visits to isolate himself with the children behind the houses and force them into sexual acts.
In total, seven children under the age of 13 were regularly victimized by this predator, in a discreet manner maintained by the control exerted over these innocent children.
The arrest in Nguékhokh
On the Monday following Korité, a collective complaint was filed with the research brigade (BR) of the Kaolack gendarmerie company, placed under the command of Chief Warrant Officer Modou Ndiaye, where an investigation was opened.
The seven children were first taken to El Hadj Ibrahima Niass Hospital in Kaolack for medical examinations. The gendarmes then went to the suspect's home, who had already left the area.
The fugitive's escape was short-lived. Mr. Diallo was located in Nguékhokh, where he had taken refuge with his brother. On Tuesday, around 3 p.m., the gendarmes arrived and arrested him.
The suspect invokes djinns
When questioned by investigators, Mr. Diallo, 28, initially admitted to the acts, before offering a rather surprising explanation: he claimed to have been possessed by an evil spirit that had guided him towards the children, according to Seneweb sources.
This did not convince investigators. Mr. Diallo was taken into custody on charges of child abduction, rape, pedophilia, and acts against nature. Prosecutor Abass Yaya Wane, head of the Saloum prosecutor's office, is monitoring the case.
The case is raising serious concerns in the neighborhood concerned, where families were previously unaware that their children had been victims of the same individual.
