Kébemer : Face à la recrudescence des accidents, les habitants de l’axe Ndiaye Thioro-Palméo réclament des ralentisseurs
Residents of villages along the Ndiaye Thioro-Palméo road, in the commune of Ndande (Kébemer department), are raising their voices. They are denouncing the increasing number of fatal accidents on this stretch of road, which has become particularly dangerous.
To limit these tragedies that regularly bring grief to families, residents are demanding the urgent installation of speed bumps. "Every month, lives are lost on this road. Yet, local authorities have been asked several times to install speed bumps, but our appeals have gone unanswered," lamented Lamine Ndiaye, spokesperson for the Aar Sunu Gokh collective.
Hurt by this painful situation, the people are now threatening to escalate their actions if their demands are not met as soon as possible.
"Meanwhile, livestock and especially children are paying a heavy price at the hands of reckless motorists who have turned the crossing of our villages into a veritable open-air cemetery," added Mr. Ndiaye.
