The Kédougou Regional Narcotics Brigade has dealt a severe blow to the trafficking of psychotropic substances in the region. On February 10, 2026, at 5:00 a.m., two Guinean nationals were arrested in the village of Lafiya, according to Seneweb sources.
Following operational intelligence indicating the existence of a psychotropic substance trafficking network in the village of Lafiya, investigators arrested ED, 24, a mechanic, married and without children, residing in Lafiya.
Following investigations, the suspect was found in possession of 80 Tramadol tablets.

In the aftermath, a second long-sought suspect was apprehended in the same area. He is HS, 35 years old, a mechanic, married to two wives and without children, also residing in Lafiya.
HS was wanted in connection with multiple drug trafficking cases. He was identified by several defendants as the kingpin of a large trafficking network operating in the Lafiya, Diakhaba and Diouraba area, among other localities.
Several suspects arrested previously identified him as their main supplier.
During his arrest, HS was found in possession of 1,230 packs of counterfeit cigarettes. However, he refused to lead investigators to the location where he hid the Tramadol tablets, thus hindering the investigation.
The two suspects were taken into custody for possession and trafficking of psychotropic substances, illegal sale of medicines and illegal practice of the profession of pharmacist.
