Kédougou : Nouveau rebondissement dans l’affaire de trafic de drogue de Kharakhéna

The investigation opened after the arrest on October 24, 2025, of an individual in Kharakhéna, in possession of 480 Tramadol tablets and 10 sachets of kush, has just seen a major new development.

Indeed, elements of the regional narcotics squad (BRS) of Kédougou arrested, this Saturday morning, an alleged accomplice of the first suspect. This is Issakha Magassouba, alias "Sapé", of Malian nationality, who had been actively sought for several days.

According to our sources, Sapé's arrest follows the exploitation of information gathered during the custody of the first suspect. The suspect was taken into custody and will be referred to the public prosecutor's office after his hearing for criminal conspiracy and trafficking in psychotropic substances.

This new arrest reinforces the determination of the security forces to relentlessly combat drug trafficking in the Kédougou region, where operations to dismantle criminal networks have been increasing in recent weeks.
