Keur Mbaye Fall : Un marchand de 58 ans arrêté pour attouchements sexuels sur une élève de 12 ans
A 58-year-old street vendor was arrested by the Zac Mbao police on the night of October 7, 2025, in Keur Mbaye Fall, for alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old student. L. Wagne was caught red-handed in his room with the girl, according to Seneweb sources.
According to the statements of Mrs. M. Ba, the victim's sister, she was alerted around 9 p.m. by two young men who reported seeing L. Wagne dragging his younger sister, F. Ba, into her room. Accompanied by the two witnesses, she went to the scene to discover the merchant in his underwear in the room, and the girl completely naked, lying in her bed.
After taking her sister out of the room, Ms. Ba went to alert the police on duty at the Keur Mbaye Fall TER station, while the two young men held the suspect there.
Repeated abuse since the school holidays
F. Ba, a sixth-grade student, gave damning testimony in the regular court hearing. She claimed to have been seeing the accused since the school holidays this year. According to her statements, it was L. Wagne who approached her, declaring his feelings of love and his desire to marry her. The minor revealed that he invited her to his room five times, where the fifty-year-old undressed her completely before fondling her body. And to buy her silence, he offered her money.
The accused's version
When questioned in turn, L. Wagne attempted to reverse the roles, stating that it was the victim who came to him to ask for money to enroll in school, explaining to him the financial difficulties of his family. Moved by compassion, he offered her small sums, but emphasized that he refused to give the girl the money requested for her registration.
Continuing her version, the girl allegedly showed up in his room on the evening of October 7 without warning him, before her sister intervened a few minutes later, accompanied by two men.
Commissioner Zac Mbao issued a requisition to the director of the Youssou Mbargane Diop hospital in Rufisque for a gynecological examination of Miss F. Ba.
Pending medical results, the suspect was taken into custody at the Zac Mbao district police station.
