Korité 2026 à Saraya : ferveur religieuse et appel à la responsabilité collective
The Saraya district celebrated Eid al-Fitr today in an atmosphere imbued with spirituality, communion, and solidarity. From the early hours of the morning, a large crowd of Muslim worshippers converged on the basketball court in the Sekhofara neighborhood to perform the two-rakat prayer, thus marking the end of the blessed month of Ramadan.

The prayer was led by Imam Ratib Saïbo Diaby, who delivered a sermon focused on the fundamental values of Islam. In his message, he emphasized righteousness, respect for others, social welfare, and the prohibition against harming one's neighbor.
"We live in a fleeting world, and we will all be called to account for our actions before the Creator of heaven and earth," he said, calling on the faithful to be more responsible in their daily lives.
Reflecting on the spiritual significance of Eid al-Fitr, the imam reminded everyone that it is first and foremost a day of gratitude to God, at the end of a month of fasting, devotion, and sharing. He also shed light on Zakat al-Fitr, detailing its importance, its beneficiaries, and the conditions for its fulfillment.

Continuing his sermon, the religious leader urged the faithful to cultivate forgiveness, strengthen family ties, honor their parents, and maintain good neighborly relations. These are all essential pillars of social cohesion.
The ceremony was attended by several administrative and local authorities, including Prefect Babacar Niang, accompanied by a large delegation including the President of the Departmental Council, the Mayor of Saraya, the Company Commander and the heads of departmental services.
Speaking on behalf of the prefect, the mayor of the town extended his best wishes for a happy holiday to all the people, praising in passing the commitment of the authorities and key stakeholders to the development and stability of the department.

Beyond the festive dimension, Korité 2026 in Saraya has thus established itself as a powerful moment of spirituality, but also of reminder of the essential values of Islam, in a context where social cohesion and individual responsibility remain more necessary than ever.
