Korité à Kédougou : un appel au retour aux valeurs islamiques et à l’éducation des enfants
On the occasion of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, commonly known as Korité, the Muslim faithful of Kédougou gathered at the Dandé Mayo mosque to perform the traditional two-rakka prayer.

The prayer was led by El Hadji Alpha Ba, who is also the president of the Islamic League of the Kédougou region. In his sermon, the imam spoke at length about the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, which he described as a special time for spiritual purification, sharing, and increased prayer.
Addressing the congregation, El Hadji Alpha Ba emphasized the need for a sincere return to God, in accordance with the fundamental precepts of Islam. He urged believers to preserve the lessons learned during Ramadan and to extend them into their daily lives.

The imam also emphasized a major issue: the education of children. In a society facing numerous challenges, he urged parents to fully play their role by instilling strong religious values and moral compasses in younger generations.
Finally, the religious leader called on all the faithful to strengthen their faith in Allah and to scrupulously respect the pillars of Islam, in order to protect themselves against the excesses and evils that affect society.

This celebration of Korité was thus marked by a strong message, combining spirituality, social responsibility and educational commitment.
