L’accusation du présumé meurtrier, Nabou Lèye…: Les précisions de l’avocat de Tarba Mbaye
Yesterday, Friday, Tarba Mbaye was arrested, taken into custody, and then released with a summons. This was in connection with the murder of Aziz Dabala. According to his lawyer, Alioune Badara Fall, the singer was arrested because "the alleged murderer, who had been detained a year prior, claimed during questioning that Tarba Mbaye was the perpetrator of the crime. However, Mr. Tarba Mbaye, when questioned by the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division), maintains the opposite."
Facing the investigators, the singer clarified that he does not know his accuser: "He even says he doesn't know Mr. Diaw, who is the alleged murderer, and he has no particular relationship with Ms. Nabou Lèye. These are simply allegations and fallacious accusations that Mr. Tarba Mbaye has refuted," Me Fall stated on RFM radio.
The lawyer stated that the search warrant was unsuccessful because Tarba Mbaye wasn't even present at the scene of the crime. "He was arrested, questioned throughout the day, and placed in police custody. Ultimately, even that custody was lifted. He has been summoned again for next Monday to be presented to the judge in charge of the first investigating chamber," he said.
