Macky Sall : « J’ai rejeté sur le plan musulman, ceux qui voulaient nous imposer un islam rigoriste »
Former Senegalese President Macky Sall recently gave an interview to the YouTube channel H5 Motivation. The former commander-in-chief of the country of Teranga spoke about his book, "Africa at Heart," as well as his beliefs. In particular, he expressed his holy horror of the civilizational injunction.
For him, there was no question of Senegal under his leadership accepting, for example, a rigorous Islam.

I have striven to counter that," declared Macky Sall. He believes that one can be Muslim while remaining African. "We are not Arabs, we are not Europeans, we are not white, we are Africans and proud of it," observed the former Senegalese president.
He finds that "this is ultimately the meaning of Negritude that Senghor and Césaire theorized as being the set of values, cultures and civilizations of the black world."
