Mbacké : Un enfant de 3 ans meurt une semaine après être tombé d'un balcon
A family tragedy has plunged the Mbacké Khéwar neighborhood of Mbacké into mourning. On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, a 36-year-old Koranic teacher went to the Mbacké urban police station, under the command of Commissioner Alioune Fall, to report the death of his son, Abdou Khadim Lèye, aged 3 years and 4 months, according to Seneweb sources.
A week earlier, on March 24, around 6 p.m., the child was on the balcony of the family home when he fell into the void, probably while trying to reach a friend who was below.
His father, alerted by the scene, immediately evacuated him to the Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim National Hospital in Touba, where he was admitted to intensive care.
Despite a week of medical care, the little boy did not survive his injuries. Surveillance camera footage from the home, provided by the father to investigators, confirms the circumstances of the fall.
It should be noted that no statement was made to the police at the time of the incident. An investigation has been opened and a request has been sent to the hospital to determine the precise cause of death.
