Mbour : deux dealers arrêtés avec 2 kg de chanvre indien au croisement de Saly
During the night of April 15-16, 2026, the elements of the research brigade of the Diamaguène 2 police station in Mbour put an end to the activities of two drug traffickers intercepted at the Saly intersection.
The accused are Khalifa Diop, a 44-year-old merchant residing in Thiaroye, and Djiby Ngom, a 25-year-old motorcycle taxi driver residing in Nguékhokh. The two men were riding a Jakarta motorcycle and delivering cannabis to their clients at the time of their arrest.
The search uncovered two kilograms of Indian hemp hidden in Khalifa Diop's backpack, intended for delivery. Traces of the same substance were also found in Djiby Ngom's pockets.
Under questioning, Khalifa Diop admitted to acquiring the drugs from a supplier known as "Woury", without further details.
The public prosecutor has been notified. The two suspects have been taken into custody and an investigation is underway.
