In Medina, Mr. Tall, a 48-year-old farmer, was taken into custody after opening fire on a 20-year-old man, I. Krouma, whom he accuses of theft.
Libération, which recounts the scene, reports that the events took place this Tuesday around 3 p.m., near a gas station located opposite the Abass Ndao hospital, where gunshots alerted a security guard on duty. At the scene, it was determined that the shooter used his weapon on the victim, wounding him in the right leg.
The farmer, quoted by the newspaper, claims to have caught the young man at his home stealing his cattle and poultry, and says he first fired warning shots before hitting him. The victim was taken to the hospital.
The suspected shooter, who claims to have a permit to carry a firearm, was arrested for "assault and battery with a firearm." The investigation is ongoing, the newspaper adds.
