On March 28, 2026, officers from the Medina District Police Station arrested an individual suspected of child abduction, sexual solicitation via social media, and exhibitionism.

The case began with a complaint from a student at the Maurice Delafosse Technical High School. The minor stated that he had been contacted on Instagram by an individual using an anonymous profile. After an initial contact marked by affectionate remarks, the suspect allegedly gradually made explicit statements, proposing a "discreet" relationship.

Faced with this situation, the victim, with the support of his friends, devised a plan to catch the perpetrator. A meeting was arranged in front of the BRT's advanced police station, near the Regional Education Authority building. Having been informed in advance, the police discreetly set up surveillance of the area.

Upon the suspect's arrival, bystanders attempted to attack him. Police officers intervened quickly to remove him from the premises, preventing a lynching and ensuring his safe transfer to the police station, with support from the Criminal Investigation Unit.

The examination of the suspect's mobile phone, carried out with his consent, confirmed the suspicions. Investigators discovered pornographic content as well as files showing the individual engaging in acts of exhibitionism.

The suspect has been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the crime and to identify any other potential victims.
