Météo : L’ANACIM annonce un Septembre pluvieux avec des précipitations supérieures à la normale
The National Agency for Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) predicts a particularly wet September across Senegal, marked by excess rainfall during the first two decades before a gradual lull at the end of the month.
According to the weekly rainfall situation and outlook published by the Agency this Monday, precipitation began on September 1st with thunderstorms and rain of varying intensity recorded in the east, south and center of the country. These rainy episodes then spread to the coast, particularly on the evening of September 2nd, with a peak expected on the 3rd.
Between September 4 and 7, further rainy periods are expected in the South and South-Central regions, before affecting a large part of the country. The week of September 8 to 14 will be marked by above-normal rainfall in most of the country, with the exception of the Southeast, where precipitation is expected to remain close to seasonal averages.
From September 15 to 21, the wet trend will persist, with above-normal accumulations on the western coast and close to normal elsewhere. Finally, from September 22 to 28, forecasts predict a decrease in rainfall, below normal in the northern half of the country, while the rest of the country will experience conditions in line with normal averages.
