Meurtre de Modou Mbacké Ndiaye : Un septième suspect arrêté passe aux aveux

The investigation into the death of Modou Mbacké Ndiaye, who was attacked on June 5, 2025, in front of his home in Afia 6, has taken a major step forward. The Yeumbeul-Comico district police station, headed by Commissioner Ousmane Diop, arrested a seventh suspect who was brought before the prosecutor's office on Wednesday.

A few months after the incarceration of six individuals already implicated in this murder case, investigators managed to identify a new member of the gang, thanks to the exploitation of wanted notices and information relating to accomplices still on the run.

The suspect in question, AD, a 19-year-old mechanic residing in Guédiawaye, was initially arrested by the Thiaroye police station for a robbery committed in October 2025. It was as part of the investigation into the murder of Modou Mbacké Ndiaye that the Yeumbeul-Comico police officers proceeded to extract him from Rebeuss prison for further investigation.

During his interrogation, AD initially denied any involvement before admitting to having taken part in the criminal operation. However, he attempted to downplay his role, presenting himself as the motorcycle driver and lookout.

According to his confession, he left Guédiawaye on a scooter, accompanied by C., alias “Dieng Salla,” Moussa, alias “Thioutie,” and Ameth, alias “Bily Boy.” The group reportedly went to Mbed Fass, near the victim's store, where, with the complicity of an employee, they spotted Modou Mbacké Ndiaye and followed him. Once near his home, the three accomplices allegedly attacked the victim with a knife, stole his bag containing money, and fled with the loot, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office.

Following his hearing, AD was taken into custody for conspiracy, murder, and armed robbery. At the conclusion of the investigation, he was brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Wednesday.

Bravo à la Police. Mais il faut des peines dissuasives. La peine de mort et des peines de travaux forcés à perpétuité doivent être systématiques pour tout membre d’un gang.
