Oussouye : Modou Mamoune Diop officiellement installé comme préfet par le Gouverneur
The governor of the Ziguinchor region, Mor Talla Tine, officially installed Modou Mamoune Diop in his new position as prefect of the Oussouye department. The ceremony, held in the presence of administrative and territorial authorities and numerous local stakeholders, included the mayor of the municipality and the head of the planning and transferred powers division.
Tribute to the outgoing prefect
On this occasion, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the outgoing prefect, Maurice Latyr Dione, who was praised for his commitment, availability, and the quality of his work during his term. The various speakers emphasized his attentiveness, his adherence to republican values, and his support for territorial development initiatives.
The municipality, in a message of appreciation, expressed its sincere thanks to Mr. Dione for the fruitful collaboration he maintained with local authorities and residents. It also wished him every success in his new role in Saint-Louis.
The new prefect, Modou Mamoune Diop, now takes the reins of the departmental administration with the mission of continuing the dynamic of territorial governance and strengthening support for local development policies.
