Patronat : Abdel Kader Ndiaye prend les rênes de la Confédération Nationale des Employeurs (CNES)
Senegalese employers are entering a new chapter in their history. Meeting on Saturday, March 28, 2026, the Board of Directors of the National Confederation of Employers of Senegal (CNES) "proceeded with the renewal of its governing bodies." This election brought to the head of the organization a well-known figure in the national private sector.
Following the vote, "Mr. Abdel Kader Ndiaye, President of the Union of Building and Public Works Companies (SNBTP), was elected President of the CNES by a majority of votes cast." The head of the BATIMEX Group thus succeeds an outgoing team to whom the Board of Directors expressed its "sincere thanks."
To support him in his new responsibilities, a diverse team has been formed. It includes Mamadou Abib Diop (SAR) as "First Vice-President, in charge of development and cooperation," Mohamed Seck (Sahel Services) for federations, Abdoul Aziz Sy (Sup DECO) for economic affairs, and Ibrahima Gallo Ndao (EUROCHAM) for communications. The general secretariat has been entrusted to Ghaleb Jaber (METAL AFRIQUE).
The new leadership team reflects the diversity of the Senegalese economic landscape. The board includes numerous federation presidents from strategic sectors such as industry, bakeries, education, health, hydrocarbon transport, and services. This broad representation aims to strengthen the CNES's voice in its dialogue with authorities and social partners.
Furthermore, to build upon the experience of its predecessors, the Board of Directors appointed several "Honorary Presidents," thus paying tribute to the contributions of Messrs. Ibou Ndiaye, Adama Lam, Babacar Ndiaye, and Abdourahmane Ndoye. Under the leadership of Abdel Kader Ndiaye, CNES is preparing to meet the challenges of competitiveness and the country's economic transformation.
