Patrouille policière à Saly-Portudal : piégé, un dealer tombe avec 25 képas d'ecstasy et une machette
As part of its policy to strengthen the public's sense of security, the Saly-Portudal urban police station, under the command of Commissioner Oumar Mbaye, has intensified its night patrols throughout its area of responsibility. This strategy is beginning to bear fruit.
During the night of March 4-5, 2026, while on motorized patrol, the police officers of the Research Brigade received information about an ecstasy trafficking operation, commonly known as "volets", run by an unidentified individual in the town of Saly-Portudal.
Armed with this information, the police set a trap by posing as customers. The suspect took the bait and showed up at the meeting point in Saly Vélingara, where he was arrested in possession of twenty-five (25) shutters and a bladed weapon, according to Seneweb sources.
Taken to the police station, the accused, AK DIALLO, 26 years old, motorcycle taxi driver, originally from Tanaff and passing through Saly, admitted the charges against him, while indicating that the drugs had been given to him by a certain B. NIASS.
At the end of the investigation, AK DIALLO was taken to the Prosecutor's Office of the High Court of Mbour for offering and supplying drugs.
This arrest demonstrates the determination of the Saly police to secure the seaside resort and protect its residents and visitors. The investigation continues with a view to apprehending B. NIASS, the suspected supplier of the accused.
