Polémique autour d’And Samm Jikko Yi : Le collectif dément toute alliance avec un lobby pro-Trump
And Samm Jikko Yi (ASJY) denies the heated controversy that has erupted in the public sphere following the publication of information alleging collaboration between the collective and a pro-Trump American lobby. This allegation has been formally rejected by the movement's leaders.
In a statement sent to Seneweb, the national coordinator of the collective, Imam Babacar Sylla, denounces this "false information".
The And Samm Jikko Yi collective has just learned, through the press, that it allegedly collaborated with a "pro-Trump lobby" regarding the anti-homosexuality law recently passed by the National Assembly. The headline reads: "The secret alliance between ASJY and a pro-Trump lobby revealed!"
The statement is affirmative... "Mass Resistance, an American pro-family group, worked with And Samm Jikko Yi. It is this kind of rudeness that easily lands you in front of a judge...," the collective warns.
In response to these accusations, "the national coordinator of And Samm Jikko Yi, Imam Babacar Sylla, and the Executive Bureau formally deny this information and invite the authors of this fake news to adhere to the ethics and professional standards of their profession by committing to the appropriate rigor of investigation, in order to avoid sinking into the grotesque excesses of journalistic parasitism, at the risk of their credibility," the statement reads.
ASJY also wanted to clarify its structure. The group reiterated that its national coordinator is Imam Babacar Sylla, while the official spokesperson is Adama Mboup. It further specified that no honorary president position exists within the organization.
Regarding Ababacar Mboup, the former coordinator, the collective emphasizes that he has withdrawn from his duties and now acts only as a simple member, without engaging the responsibility of the organization.
A challenge issued to the authors of the accusations
Taking a firm stance, And Samm Jikko Yi challenges anyone to provide evidence of any collaboration with foreign lobbies. The group asserts that it maintains relations only with "the people and the State of Senegal," within a framework it describes as transparent.
During this Ramadan period, ASJY affirms that it remains focused on its spiritual activities, while reserving the right to react to any new attempt at disinformation.
"Our collective only has relations with the people and the state of Senegal, which relations are crystal clear and are not encumbered by any mystery! Likewise, the collective is the only interlocutor with the state in all matters which are official to it.
In conclusion and for everyone's information, the "kilifeu" of And Samm Jikko are men and women of faith occupied during this month of Ramadan with worship and repentance, if we may allow them to do so.
"We've had enough of those stinky bubbles with the misdeeds of the 'gorjigeens'. So for those who have a hard time with the stricter law...water?", the collective fumes.
