The Ross Béthio Local Brigade put an end to the activities of an individual who was posing as a police commissioner in order to sell his alleged services on the Rosso-Dakar axis.

It was as part of road safety operations that the gendarmes of Ross Béthio arrested, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, a man in his fifties, a professional driver residing in Richard Toll.

The individual was intercepted on National Route 2 (RN2), near Ross Béthio, while he was transporting two trucks loaded with goods from Algeria, according to exclusive information from Seneweb.

Placed under the command of Warrant Officer Babou Loum, the brigade members quickly aroused suspicions about the behavior of the accused.

Following the check, the gendarmes discovered that the suspect was fraudulently presenting himself as a police commissioner, using this false title to illegally escort freight vehicles on the Rosso-Dakar corridor, for a fee. Investigators seized a fake professional ID card from him, the key piece of evidence in his scheme.

The suspect has been taken into custody. An investigation is underway to establish the extent of his activities and determine if other convoys benefited from this illegal escort.

Comme il n'en est pas à son premier coup plutôt que de l'ecrouer la police doit l'utiliser vue son expérience sur ce corridor très compliqué comme elle le fait avec les indicateurs c'est pas tellement méchant à mon avis bien que son comportement est blâmable l'intelligence c'est de tirer profit en chaque chose.

Ces camions algériens ne pouvant plus passer le frontière malienne passe par le Senegal pour alimenter et fournir le nécessaire aux terroristes sur la route Senegal-Mali
