Saint-Louis : Soirée arrosée, chute mortelle et versions contradictoires, un ingénieur arrêté pour meurtre !
On the night of April 3-4, 2026, around 10 p.m., three men met on the terrace of a house in the Bango neighborhood to drink alcohol. According to Babacar O., a 37-year-old telecommunications engineer, Cheikh Ka suddenly stood up, clutching his chest and complaining of pain, before backing away toward the edge of the terrace. He claims he tried to stop him, but both men fell. They were taken to the Saint-Louis Regional Hospital, where Cheikh Ka died from his injuries.
At approximately 2:59 a.m., Babacar O. called Samba LM, 58, a business consultant and trainer. According to Samba LM, he then confided in him that he had fought with Cheikh Ka and had suffered a broken left clavicle.
Upon waking, around 7 a.m., Samba LM called him back to find out more. Babacar O. then changed his story, denying any confrontation and claiming the victim had simply felt unwell.
A request was sent to the forensic pathologist at the Idrissa Pouye General Hospital in Grand-Yoff, Dakar. The autopsy of Dr. MA Diallo concluded that he died from hemorrhagic shock caused by blunt thoracoabdominal trauma, with multiple liver injuries, right rib fractures, and a hemothorax, according to Seneweb sources.
In light of these findings, Babacar O. and Adramé N., 49, a bricklayer who was present on the terrace at the time of the incident, were questioned again. During the confrontation, Samba LM maintained his statements. Babacar O., however, denied making the phone calls in question. The phone records, however, confirmed that these two calls had taken place.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Babacar O. was taken into custody for murder and Adramé N. for complicity in murder. The investigation by the Saint-Louis central police station is ongoing.
