Santé de Farba Ngom, Mabintou Diagne… : le Forum du justiciable traîne le Sénégal devant le Haut-Commissariat de l’Onu
The NGO Forum du justiciable has officially contacted the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to denounce the critical health situation of several Senegalese detainees, including Farba Ngom, Maodo Malick Mbaye, Mabintou Diagne and Khadim Ba.
In a letter addressed to the UN regional representative, Robert Kotchani, the organization states that the health of these detainees, currently hospitalized in the special ward of the Aristide Le Dantec hospital, is “seriously compromised” and “incompatible with continued detention, even in a hospital setting”.
The Forum of the Justiciable emphasizes that these people require continuous care and medical treatment which “cannot be provided within the prison setting”.
The NGO therefore urges the High Commissioner to remind the State of Senegal of its human rights obligations and to recommend urgent measures, including "the immediate granting of provisional release for detainees presenting medical risks; respect for Senegal's international commitments concerning the protection of vulnerable persons".
The Forum of the Justiciable says it hopes for a swift response from the authorities and declares itself available for any further information.

Vous n'avez jamais réagi et maintenant des personnes accusées de détournement de derniers publics qui auraient pu servir à moderniser les prisons se retrouvent malades seulement en prison.
