What was meant to be a reunion between a mother and her son turned into a nightmare for a young woman named Diary. Living in Ouakam, she traveled to Mbao this past Saturday to visit her child, who attends a Koranic school. Unfortunately, the visit was nothing like the special moment she had hoped for.
A brutal eviction filmed by the family
According to the young woman's account, she was explicitly forbidden from entering the residence. The situation quickly escalated when the Quranic teacher, assisted by two men, allegedly dragged her violently toward the exit. The entire scene was filmed by the complainant's sister, who was with their mother at the time. This footage could constitute crucial evidence for the remainder of the case.
A context of divorce and persistent tensions
This tragedy unfolds within a complex family context. The child's father, who currently lives in France, is divorced from the mother. According to information gathered, he is the one who decided to place the child in this boarding school, disregarding reports of mistreatment made by the young boy. This decision had already fueled significant tensions between the Quranic teacher and the mother, who opposed the placement.
Determined to obtain justice after this physical and moral assault, Diary announced her intention to file an official complaint with the Dakar court in the coming days.
