Signature de convention entre le FONGIP et le PNUD pour la mise en circulation de taxis électriques
On March 2nd, a historic memorandum of understanding was signed between the Director General of FONGIP, Ms. Ndèye Fatou Mbodj, and the UNDP Resident Representative in Senegal, Njoya Tikum. This agreement aims to introduce electric taxis into operation in Dakar, marking a decisive turning point in urban mobility in Senegal.

The main objective of this project is to improve urban mobility while contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. According to the Director General of FONGIP, this initiative is part of a broader approach to promoting green employment and supporting the transition to sustainable transport solutions, in line with Senegal's public policies.
This collaboration between FONGIP and UNDP is an important step towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for transportation in Senegal. Electric taxis will not only reduce air pollution but will also offer an economical and efficient alternative for users.
