Thiantacones : Le sous-préfet exprime ses regrets après le « faux bond » d'une partie de la famille
The Local Development Committee (CLD), convened by the sub-prefect of Sindia to prepare for the Thiant (religious gathering) on April 17th for the family of Serigne Saliou Thioune, ultimately could not be held. The reason: the conspicuous absence of representatives from Serigne Saliou Thioune's family, who were expected at the meeting.
Scheduled for 10 a.m., the meeting drew several heads of state services who made the trip. However, after nearly two hours of waiting without the intended participants appearing, they were forced to return to their offices. The sub-prefect expressed his regret over this situation during the meeting at the Sokhna Aïda Saliou Thioune camp.
"I take this opportunity to express my regret and regret that the department heads traveled this morning to attend such a meeting, and that it did not take place independently of our wishes. You had to close your offices this morning, but it was for a good cause," he said.
Our attempts to contact Serigne Saliou Thioune to understand the reasons for this absence and the absence of a delegation from his disciples have so far been unsuccessful.
