Sountou Bousso illumine l'AIBD : Aelia Duty Free & CASE BI, le Luxe Africain Décolle !
Blaise Diagne International Airport was the setting for a landmark event with the official inauguration of the new Aelia Duty Free and CASE BI stores, in the presence of Sountou Bousso, Managing Director of Lagardère Africa. In a speech that skillfully combined emotion and ambition, Sountou Bousso, Managing Director of Lagardère Travel Retail Africa, emphasized the importance of this moment not only for Senegal, but also for the entire African continent.
“My dear guests, it is with immense joy—the joy of a two-star African champion who fully displays his pride—that I welcome you today,” he declared, before outlining his vision of a Senegal looking towards the future. According to him, this inauguration symbolizes a country that is moving forward, innovating, and opening itself to the world.
Sountou Bousso highlighted three essential convictions that guided this ambitious project:
1. The passenger experience: "We have created fluid, technological, and immersive spaces to simplify and enhance the passenger journey," he stated. The goal is to make travel more pleasant and intuitive.
2. Premium luxury: The arrival of niche brands such as Parfums de Marly and Zilli illustrates the enthusiasm for luxury in Senegal, a rapidly expanding market. Bousso emphasized that "premium is experienced, touched, and celebrated."
3. Made in Africa: With diversity, CASE BI will become a showcase of Senegalese identity, offering a platform to extraordinary local brands like Réserve d'Afrique and Nayel. "We value and embody Africa," added Bousso.
He also stressed the importance of collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transport and AIBD, stating that the success of this project depends on a "strong, transparent and ambitious partnership".
This event marks a new milestone for Senegal and Africa, promoting a dynamic and innovative image of the continent on the international stage. The new Aelia Duty Free and CASE BI stores promise not only to enhance the traveler experience but also to highlight the richness and diversity of Africa.
