Souveraineté alimentaire : L’ADEPME et JeufZone de Thione Niang s’allient pour propulser l'agribusiness sénégalais
The Senegalese entrepreneurial landscape is taking a decisive step in the transformation of its primary sector. A strategic agreement has been officially signed between the Agency for the Development and Support of Small and Medium Enterprises (ADEPME) and JeufZone of Thione Niang, with the ambition of "training, supporting and promoting the professional integration of young people in the key sector of agribusiness".

Modern agriculture as a lever for growth
Faced with contemporary challenges of employment and competitiveness, this partnership goes beyond mere technical training. The initiative aims to establish "modern agriculture and agricultural entrepreneurship as key drivers of inclusive and sustainable growth." The program will deploy a range of measures from "strengthening technical skills" to "developing an entrepreneurial spirit," including "access to value chains" and "integrating technology into agricultural practices."

The ultimate goal is to see the emergence of "a new generation of agripreneurs capable of boosting productivity, creating wealth, generating decent jobs and strengthening Senegal's food sovereignty."

A synergy aligned with the Senegal 2050 Vision
This collaboration benefits from strong institutional support, which notably commends the "leadership," "strategic vision," and "unwavering commitment" of the Director General of ADEPME, Mr. Alpha Thiame. It is directly aligned with "the implementation of the Senegal 2050 Vision, championed by the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye." This national vision places "youth, innovation, the structural transformation of the economy, and the development of agricultural potential at the heart of its priorities."

By joining forces, the stakeholders aim to mobilize "all public, private, and international actors to amplify the impact of this structuring program." Their stated ambition remains "to make Senegalese youth the driving force behind a sustainable agricultural and economic revolution" to build a country that is "more resilient, more competitive, and more prosperous."
