Surveillance policière à Touba : Un éleveur arrêté par la police avec 3,250 kg de chanvre

A 20-year-old farmer, known to police as a cannabis trafficker, was arrested on Thursday, November 20th in Touba. The operation, the result of several days of surveillance, led to the seizure of more than 3 kg of narcotics.

D. Sène, who lives in Thiamène Djoloff, had been under close surveillance for several days by members of the research brigade of the Ndamatou district police station.

Known to the police as a transporter of Indian hemp, the suspect, aged around 20 and a livestock farmer by profession, was passing through Touba.

On the night of November 19, investigators received crucial information indicating an imminent delivery to the suspect. This information allowed police to intensify their surveillance, according to Seneweb sources.

On Thursday, November 20th, around 4 p.m., after a lengthy surveillance operation, the Ndamatou police moved in. The suspect was apprehended on the "Yonou Darou" road as he attempted to flee.

Subdued by members of the research brigade, D. Sène was found carrying a backpack containing an arsenal of narcotics: three packets of Indian hemp and two loose bags of 125 grams each, for a total of 3 kg and 250 grams of Indian hemp.

The young farmer is being prosecuted for domestic trafficking and the sale of cannabis. This arrest illustrates the police's determination to dismantle the drug trafficking networks that pass through the holy city of Touba.
