Tabaski sanglante à la cité Fadia : ce que le tueur aux couteaux a dit aux enquêteurs
The images are shocking. They have gone viral on social media. Mr. Fall, 45, brandishing knives on the second-floor balcony of a building in the Fadia housing project, chanting "Sonko, Sonko…", before jumping and being attacked by an angry mob. Had it not been for the intervention of the police, the man would undoubtedly have been lynched.
The events took place on Thursday, May 28, the day of Tabaski. The man had just attacked his brother, Khabane Fall, with a knife; Khabane Fall later succumbed to his injuries.
Arrested and taken to the Golf Sud police station, Mr. Fall was questioned while in custody. According to Libération, he "gave a rambling statement, claiming he was drunk at the time of the incident."
The newspaper reports that at the time of his arrest, the suspected killer was carrying five knives. He allegedly stabbed his brother eight times while the latter was napping.
