Tambacounda : Macabre découverte d'un corps en décomposition à Netteboulou
A gruesome discovery has plunged the village of Mbouroukh, located in the commune of Netteboulou (Tambacounda department), into shock. Yesterday, Thursday, in the late afternoon, the lifeless body of a man approximately 70 years old was found under a tree, in an advanced state of decomposition.
It was the local residents, intrigued by the foul odor emanating from the area, who made the grim discovery and immediately alerted the authorities. The gendarmerie stationed in Gouloumbou, along with the firefighters, quickly arrived on the scene to conduct the initial investigation.
Given the advanced state of decomposition of the body and on the formal instructions of the public prosecutor, Aliou Dia, the deceased was buried at the very spot where it was discovered. The victim's identity has not yet been established.
An investigation has been officially opened by the gendarmerie to determine the exact circumstances of the death and to try to identify this septuagenarian whose presence in this isolated area remains unexplained.
