Tensions récentes : la communauté marocaine au Sénégal appelle à l’apaisement et prône pour le dialogue
In response to the spread of sensitive and unverified information on social media, as well as tensions related to the aftermath of recent sporting events, the League of Moroccan Students in Senegal, the Collective of Moroccan Doctors in Senegal and the Student Associations of Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar published a joint message this Wednesday, January 21, addressed to the student community and the Senegalese and Moroccan populations.
In their statement, these organizations reaffirmed the strength of the historical and fraternal relations between Senegal and Morocco, founded on mutual respect, cooperation, and enduring friendship. They called upon all citizens, regardless of nationality, to exercise restraint, responsibility, and discernment, while refraining from any provocation, hate speech, or behavior that could fuel tensions.
The groups also reaffirmed their commitment to the values of peace, tolerance, coexistence, and African fraternity, which have always prevailed in relations between the Senegalese and Moroccan communities, particularly within Cheikh Anta Diop University and, more broadly, throughout the territories of both countries. They also emphasized the importance of the safety of people and property.
Finally, the organizations urge everyone to prioritize dialogue, respect laws and institutions, and obtain information exclusively from official sources issued by the competent authorities. They call for collective action to preserve a calm, secure, and fraternal atmosphere, true to the spirit of unity and solidarity that binds the two peoples.

Il est vrai que toute défaite est difficile à avaler et essayons de nous mettre à leur place même si ça ne justifie pas certains déboires.
