TGI Thiès : G. Dieng et A. Diallo condamnés à un an ferme pour l'agression de deux femmes à Khombole
G. Dieng (scrap metal dealer) and A. Diallo (tailor), who had traveled from Thiès to Khombole on a motorcycle, attacked two women, A. Mbaye and A. Ndione, while drunk and armed with machetes. They found the two victims at the edge of Khombole and snatched their wallets and phones at machete point-blank range.
It was the women's cries for help that alerted the neighbors. Pursued, they were overpowered and violently beaten before being handed over to the police and brought before a judge.
In the dock of the Thiès court for flagrant offenses this Friday, January 9, the defendants attempted to deny the charges. However, during the preliminary investigation, G. Dieng had admitted to the theft and stated that they had acted under the influence of alcohol.
The two plaintiffs each claimed 50,000 CFA francs in damages. The prosecutor argued that the defendants were guilty and requested a two-year prison sentence.
The judge ultimately sentenced them to two years, one of which was a mandatory minimum sentence.
