N. Sène, known as Khady Sène, a 75-year-old homemaker residing in the Saliou Ndir neighborhood, is facing potential imprisonment. The elderly woman was presented last Friday to the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office by officers from the Thiaroye district police station. She stands accused of instigating a retaliatory attack, carried out by one of her sons, targeting a neighbor she suspects of livestock theft. Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, who has requested the opening of a judicial investigation, has called for her to be remanded in custody.

According to investigation details, around 10:00 PM, police were alerted that an individual was being assaulted by a group of five people who violently beat him with bricks in the Saliou Ndir area. Officers from the research brigade quickly arrived at the scene for initial findings. There, they discovered a man lying unconscious on the ground with severe head injuries.

According to witness P. Y. Ndiaye, who identifies as the victim's brother, the victim is S. Ndiaye, a 29-year-old cart driver living in Saliou Ndir. The witness stated that around 6:00 PM, the accused woman came to their home to accuse the victim of stealing two of her sheep, which he categorically denied. The woman then allegedly mobilized her son, O. Ndiaye, also known as "Cheikh Bi," a known repeat offender. He, accompanied by his gang, intercepted the victim around 10:00 PM and brutally assaulted him with bricks.

Following this, investigators conducted a raid at the elderly woman's residence. They arrested her, while her son and his accomplices fled the scene.

N. Sène was taken into custody on charges of criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, and complicity in aggravated theft committed at night. When questioned, the accused attempted to deny the allegations but failed to convince investigators. She maintained, however, that the victim had a habit of stealing her livestock. She explained that around 5:00 PM, after noticing two of her sheep were missing, she went to the victim's home to demand her property back. According to her, the discussion escalated into insults. She claims her son, O. Ndiaye alias "Cheikh Bi," informed of the situation, decided with his gang to attack the victim.

The victim was evacuated to the Idrissa Pouye Hospital in Grand-Yoff (HOGIP) by firefighters. In his statement, S. Ndiaye confirms he was assaulted. He states that on April 8, 2026, around 9:00 PM, Khady Sène entered his home to publicly accuse him of sheep theft before hurling insults. He claims that later that night, around 10:00 PM, he was lured to the area near the Djiddah Thiaroye Kaw School 27, where he was ambushed by "Cheikh Bi," an individual called "Sérère," and several others. They attacked him, robbed him of 18,500 CFA francs and his silver ring, before throwing bricks at his head, leaving him unconscious. He indicates he regained consciousness in the hospital after several hours in a coma.

Following a review by the prosecutor's office, Prosecutor Saliou Dicko has requested the opening of a judicial investigation against N. Sène, her son O. Ndiaye alias "Cheikh Bi," and others (X). The chief prosecutor asserts there is strong evidence of criminal conspiracy, aggravated theft, and attempted murder. The lead prosecutor has requested a detention order for the mother and an arrest warrant for her son, as well as for another individual yet to be identified. The case file has been assigned to the judge of the 2nd cabinet. The accused will be informed of her legal status tomorrow.

Il affirme avoir repris connaissance après plusieurs heures dans le ""COMA". Si tu étais dans le coma, tu ne te serais pas relevé comme ça. Tu as juste perdu connaissance ( kheume en wolof). LOL.
