Thiès : 11 kg de yamba saisis sur une moto Jakarta, M. Sow déféré au parquet
Thanks to a meticulously planned surveillance and infiltration system, the elements of the Research Brigade of the First District police station of Thiès, under the command of Commissioner Moussa Fall, dismantled an Indian hemp trafficking network operating in the Silmang and Hersent sectors.
It all started with a tip-off that a certain Ameth Sow was actively supplying a drug trafficking network in these two neighborhoods and was planning to resupply in Tassette. Police officers set up a stakeout and spotted the suspect on his return, transporting the drugs on a Jakarta motorcycle.
Near the police hideout, the driver tries to sow confusion by simulating a fall before fleeing.
It was then that Mr. Sow, 34 years old, a painter, residing in the Hersent district, was arrested in possession of eleven kilograms of Indian hemp.
The search of his home proved fruitless. When questioned about the origin of the drugs, he admitted to buying them near Tassette from a supplier he formally identified, according to Seneweb sources.
The Jakarta motorcycle was seized and impounded. Brought before the prosecutor's office on Thursday, Mr. Sow will face charges of criminal conspiracy and offering or supplying cannabis.
