Tivaouane-Peulh : Injoignable depuis un mois, un électricien de 58 ans retrouvé mort par son frère
The local police brigade in Tivaouane-Peulh was alerted this Saturday to the discovery of a lifeless body in an advanced state of decomposition in the Socabeg housing estate.
It all began with growing concern. For about a month, I. Sané, 38, a teacher at a school in the Bounkiling department, had been trying in vain to reach his older brother by phone. Initially without answer, the line eventually stopped ringing altogether.
Taking advantage of the school holidays, on April 10, 2026, he left their native village of Inor, in the Sédhiou region, and took the "bus" to Dakar.
Upon arriving in Tivaouane-Peulh, he went to his older brother's home in the Socabeg neighborhood and knocked on the door several times without getting an answer.
Once inside, he smelled a foul odor suggesting the presence of a body in an advanced state of decomposition. He immediately went to the Tivaouane-Peulh gendarmerie brigade to file a statement, according to Seneweb sources.
The victim has been identified as L. Sané, also known as Mola, 58 years old, an electrician, single with no children, originally from the Bounkiling department. He lived alone in this house, which he had acquired in 2020, according to the testimony of his brother.
The body was sprayed and disinfected by agents of the hygiene service of Rufisque, before being buried in the cemetery of Tivaouane-Peulh after consultation with the prosecutor Cheikh Diakhoumpa, head of the Rufisque prosecutor's office.
