A tragedy unfolded this Saturday in Touba Ndiareme, where a work accident in an iron depot claimed the life of one person and injured two others, according to a preliminary report.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred while several workers were unloading heavily stacked iron bars. In circumstances that are still unclear, the load suddenly collapsed, burying workers under the weight of the materials.
The impact was fatal for one of them, who died at the scene before emergency services arrived. Alerted quickly, firefighters recovered the body and provided assistance to the victims. The two injured, whose condition requires medical attention, were transported to a local medical facility.
