The Ndamatou district police station in Touba has arrested a man for repeated sodomy rapes committed on an 11-year-old minor and acts of pedophilia, Seneweb has learned.
The case was triggered on February 11, 2026, by a complaint filed by the victim's mother. According to the investigation, the accused, a neighbor of the family, took advantage of the parents' absence to lure the minor to his home.
The individual sexually abused the child anally, before handing over paltry sums of between 250 and 500 CFA francs to buy his silence under threat.
The traumatized victim eventually confided in her mother after being made aware of recent news concerning sex crimes.
During her hearing, the minor gave a precise and detailed account of her attacker's modus operandi.
A request addressed to the management of the Ndamatou hospital confirmed the existence of lesions and inflammatory scars in the anal area, attesting to the violence and repetition of the acts.
The suspect has been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing before he is brought before the prosecutor.
